Keep the Fire Burning

The exhibition centred on large-scale wall paintings whose surfaces, coated in the artist's custom-blended red phosphorus, served as functional striking surfaces — visitors were invited to ignite matchsticks directly on the canvases, collectively generating drawings through the everyday gesture of striking a match. Bronze sculptures from The Kiss series, depicting pairs of matches fused at their burning heads, accompanied the paintings alongside a cube pedestal filled with thousands of blue-tipped matchsticks.
